2015 was a busy year for Mama’s Kitchen. Here’s a look back to some of the fun we had.

sandwiches anniversary
We started serving healthier whole wheat bread in 2015. Our 25th Anniversary Celebration raised critical funds to feed our clients struggling with AIDS or cancer.
Meal Staging stars
Our meal staging area got a makeover during our Board of Directors’ Presidential Dining Experience. Guests dined under the stars at our 25th Anniversary Celebration in September.
delivery driver scuba club
In 2015, Mama’s volunteers spent 9,883 hours delivering meals to home bound residents in need. San Diego Rainbow Scuba Club donated the proceeds of their Diving for Life trip to Mama’s Kitchen for the 5th year in a row.

Our volunteers logged 13,900 hours prepping and packaging meals in 2015. Artists from Canstruction created a sculpture of Mama’s Logo using cans of tuna at Mama’s Day.
wine tasting chefs
Everyone had a blast at our annual Wine Tasting. Chefs and guests mingled at Mama’s Day 2015.
komen food
Susan G. Komen supported Mama’s Kitchen and volunteered at the Kitchen in August. Fabulous food was served at Mama’s Day 2015.

pie San Diego Gay Men's Chorus
An enthusiastic volunteer distributed pies at Wells Fargo during our Pie in the Sky bake sale. San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus brought lots of holiday spirit to our Tree of Life Ceremony.

Mayor Kevin Faulconer visited Mama’s Kitchen in November. Generous food donations came in during the holidays.
