35th Annual Tree of Life Ceremony

Every December 1st since 1991, Mama’s Kitchen and the Village Hillcrest have hosted the Tree of Life ceremony on December first, World AIDS Day, commemorating those affected by HIV and recognizing the ongoing leadership efforts made to end the epidemic.
The Tree of Life ceremony is the only free World Aids Day event in San Diego and consists of a candle-lighting ceremony honoring those we have lost, special guest speakers, community recognition awards, holiday music by the San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus, and tree lighting to represent the hope for a brighter tomorrow.
