Mama’s Kitchen helps people in our community who are struggling with AIDS or cancer get a second chance at life by providing 100% recommended daily nutrition to them during their illness. Often when illness strikes, our clients have nowhere to turn and are too sick to shop and cook for themselves and their children.
In the first half of our fiscal year ending June 2017 (July-December, 2016), Mama’s Kitchen prepared and home-delivered 158,319 meals to 457 individuals living with AIDS or cancer. This included 18,420 meals lovingly prepared for 81 children of our clients. In addition, we provided the equivalent of 43,296 meals to 559 Pantry clients during this period to supplement their nutrition and help their medications work more effectively.
